In the beginning

March 21 --- The Big Hole:

The start of it. At the end of spring break, we drove out to our lot to find a big hole... and footings... Here's the basic outline of the front of the house.

Otto's pretty excited; can't you tell?

Eventually, this will be the view out of our back yard.

Yesterday, 50 mph winds made us wonder if we should have chosen a lot facing a different direction... We look forward to watching beautiful, windy Kansas sunsets, while sitting on bolted down deck furniture.
