set in stone

The mason has begun to lay the stone on the front of the house. Getting closer every day!

Our view. And, our wall. Pretty, huh?

The office. (Yes, the house is SOLD. To us.)

Entryway to the dining room. See some of the paint sampling? We've tried about 15 different colors on various walls.
Upstairs hallway.

Kitchen.

Master bedroom, facing the master bath.

Master bedroom.

And, the tub deck! Master bathroom --- the shower, to be specific. It has a window. So that Scott can watch TV on the wall opposite the shower. Everyone needs a TV in the bathroom.
Master bath. Again.

The bar.
Basement fireplace.

A good view of the basement... bar on the left, fireplace on the right.

Norb and Sandy's room. Nice view of the water, HUGE closet. Perfect, right? :)

The other basement bedroom, soon to be "Craft Room."

Measure twice, cut once

Thankfully, our trim carpenters follow that rule! We've been so impressed with their work thus far - as the pictures show. We said "Old Fashioned" and "Craftsman" and they ran with it. Doors, windows, railings, columns, fireplaces --- little details everywhere, with huge impact. We can't even begin to describe how much we love it.
Otherwise, we are nearing the end - and we are becoming more anxious to move in. Who knows when that will be, but we're hoping to have Thanksgiving dinner in our dining room. We'll see!
(These pictures were taken awhile ago; I'll take more and update again this weekend. Stay posted.)

Basement:

The bar. Enjoy your tasty beverage here.

These windows have a great view of the water.

Here's an example of what all the doors will look like. Love, love, love them!

First Floor:

The octagon windows. No cage fighting, though. Too much glass might invite injuries.

Here you can see the start of the columns that will define the living room. They will "support" transom windows above.

Kitchen!

Living room fireplace. Note the place for the TV above. The perfect place to watch MMA cagefighting.

Bi-fold closet doors. :)

A hallway linen closet!

Master bedroom.

The Master bathroom. The bathtub will be right in front of these windows... a nice place to relax. Maybe with a glass of wine.
